Good old America gives us yet another gem. Dubbed the ultimate all-American road, the Seward highway in Alaska will leave you awestruck! This highway runs 125 miles, between Seward and Anchorage. Scenic from the word 'go', the route starts and ends at the ocean. Along the way, there are whales and waterfalls, blue glaciers and sharp-toothed mountains, calm trout ponds and stormy ocean fjords.
The Seward highway takes you to the Chugach State Park where you can admire the view and sample fresh Kachemak Bay oysters. That's not all. Stop at Bird creek and watch out for some spectacular birds or just unwind and go fishing. The Bake shop at Girdwood is the perfect pitstop for a quick taste of sweet rolls. On bike or by car, this road is a roadie's dream come true.
